Boarding FAQ
Straight answers about overnight stays.
What makes BratPak dog boarding different from traditional kennels?
+
Unlike traditional kennels that focus primarily on overnight housing, our Henderson dog boarding includes professionally supervised, cage-free daytime play guided by a professional behavioral evaluation and structured group placement. We prioritize comfort, social confidence, and appropriate supervision — not warehouse-style boarding.
Is daytime play included with overnight boarding?
+
Yes. Our dog boarding in Henderson, NV is all-inclusive. Every overnight stay includes professionally supervised daytime group play at no additional cost. We do not charge extra for play sessions or enrichment activities.
Do you offer cage-free dog boarding?
+
At BratPak Dog Kamp in Henderson, NV, we intentionally do not offer cage-free group sleeping for overnight dog boarding. While dogs enjoy structured, supervised all-day play, open group sleeping environments often create too much stimulation and distraction for proper rest.Quality sleep is essential for immune health, emotional balance, and overall well-being — especially during multi-day boarding stays. That's why our dog boarding combines active daytime socialization with calm, private overnight accommodations, so your dog returns home healthy, happy, and well-rested.
Does my dog need to be evaluated before boarding?
+
Yes. Because we offer every dog structured group play as part of boarding, all new dogs must complete an evaluation (called New Kamper Orientation) to ensure they are comfortable and appropriate for our unique environment.
How much does dog boarding cost in Henderson, NV?
+
Our dog boarding rates are all-inclusive and include overnight accommodations plus supervised daytime play, enrichment activities, and lots of personal attention. Current pricing ranges from $45–$60 per night, and there are no hidden fees.
What vaccinations are required for boarding?
+
To ensure a safe environment for all guests, dogs must be current on all required vaccinations. Proof of vaccination must be provided prior to entering our play yard. Required vaccinations for dog boarding are Rabies, Distemper/Parvo (often called DHPP or DA2PP), and Bordetella (kennel cough).
What types of dogs are a good fit for your boarding?
+
Our Henderson boarding is best suited for socially comfortable dogs who enjoy group interaction, can regulate excitement levels, and thrive in a structured, supervised environment. We cannot accept aggressive dogs or dogs who do not do well with other dogs.
What types of dogs may not be a good fit?
+
Dogs that are highly reactive, unsafe with other dogs, or unable to settle in group settings may benefit from a more individualized boarding environment rather than our open-play setting. We prioritize honest assessment to ensure each dog's comfort and safety.
Where do dogs sleep overnight?
+
After a full day of structured play, dogs transition to a calm overnight routine designed to promote rest and decompression in individual, indoor, climate-controlled rooms.
Can you administer medications during boarding?
+
We can administer oral medications as directed by the owner, but no injections. Please provide detailed instructions prior to your dog's stay.
Do you offer boarding for puppies?
+
Yes. Puppies who meet vaccination and social comfort requirements can participate in our structured boarding. Our supervised play can be especially beneficial for building early social confidence and play manners.
Do you offer boarding for small dogs?
+
Yes. We specialize in handling small dogs because of our expertise in confidence-building and socialization.
Do you offer a board-and-train program?
+
No. In fact, we disagree with the “board-and-train” concept. Please check out our blog article on this very topic.
